But a good football weekend is more than the day and a half around the match. Madrid has one of Spain's best tapas cultures, a second major club on the other side of the city, and plenty to do on Sunday morning.

Fixture dates are only confirmed a few weeks in advance. So we always plan around a weekend and confirm the exact kick-off as soon as La Liga releases it.
